Quick Update

I realized I hadn't updated in a while and I should be folding clothes (ugh, one of the worst jobs in the world!) so I'll just do a brief update.  I promise there will be more to come later.  I'll even try to find some newish pictures!  I haven't taken many since Christmas. 

The boys are getting so big!  Camden has such an imagination and acts 3 years old already even though he still has 4 more months.  Just today when we were waiting at the doctor's office for Hudson (second time this week - see below) he said that the support bar under the exam table was a monkey bar, as is every rod or bar he sees.  Then he told me that there were little black monkies sleeping.  "Do you see them, Mommy?"  He proceeded to tell me all about these monkies and what they were doing.  He uses new words he learns and has such big thoughts now.  He is so busy, almost too busy to take naps!  Right now he is in his room playing and has been for the past hour and a half.  He can really entertain himself!  He will nap if he wakes up really early in the morning or has a very busy morning.  If he doesn't nap though he has complete meltdowns around 6pm, so we try to get him to take a nap. 

Both boys got sick right after Christmas and have had lingering effects from their colds ever since.  Camden is mostly better, just has a little cough when he's lying down.  Hudson had gotten better but got sick all over again.  He had a cough last week that the nurse over the phone said was fine because it was leftover from his cold.  I started giving him his cold medicine again a little.  Then on Sunday he rubbed his ear and I happened to catch it so took him to the doctor Monday.  He has his first ear infection. :(  He didn't have a fever until right before I took him to the doctor.  He's on amoxicillan and I gave him Motrin for the fever.  Well, Tuesday he had a low temperature - 95.5 - two different times.  His hands and feet were really cold also.  I called the doctor Tuesday evening after the second time his temp was low and of course he didn't seem like it was a big deal and told me to just watch him because the infection could be worse.  At 9pm he had a fever of 102.6 so I gave him a sponge bath and some Motrin to bring it down.  This morning it was low again and his congestion has gotten worse.  So we went to the doctor again today.  She said he looked great and that if he still has a fever on Friday to bring him back in.  She also gave us a prescription for ear drops for pain.  Poor baby.  I feel bad for him.  He's happy despite being sick!  I've never seen a smilier baby. 

I'm sure he's picking up germs now that he is in MDO.  I started work again after the holidays so he goes into the nursery at the school.  He likes it and has fun but I'm sure it will take a while for him to build up immunity to all the viruses out there.

So this quick update is actually a long update. :)  I'll post pictures soon.
