Easter and Stuff

Happy Easter! We had a good time for Camden's second Easter. Mike's parents came into town and Camden had a lot of fun hanging out with Grammy and Pops for the weekend. Friday night we went out to dinner after doing a lot of playing. Saturday we went to the USS Lexington. It was really interesting to see but we ended up leaving before we were finished seeing everything because Camden and I were both tired! It's a lot of walking and climbing so imagine a toddler and an 8 month pregnant woman - not a good combination. :) It was fun though and Camden loved seeing all the planes and sitting in the planes he was allowed to sit in. All day he said "big boat, big boat!" After naptime Carol and I played outside with Camden while Mike and his dad put gutters on the back of our house. Meanwhile Mike smoked ribs for dinner...they were delicious! Sunday morning the Easter Bunny visited Camden. He got goldfish, animal crackers, a few books, and a couple of toys (not including all the presents his grandparents gave him). Of course he wanted to eat the goldfish so that was his breakfast! I guess it's better than candy. :)

Flying an airplane

Playing with a crab leg at lunch afterward.

Camden had two Easter egg hunts this year. One for our playgroup (pictures are from that) and one at school.

He was really into hunting the eggs and filled his basket very quickly!

I have to get all of them!

Outside our house, headed to church on Easter.

Cute Camden

What else is in here?

Yum! Goldfish for breakfast!

We never got around to dying Easter eggs because we had so many fun things planned. But we did make a bunny cake! Accoring to Camden it was birthday cake. We will dye eggs eventually. It doesn't matter that it's not on Easter, right?

In pregnancy news, I will be 8 months tomorrow! That means I only have 7 weeks to go until having the baby. Crazy! I go to the doctor tomorrow and I'm going to see if we can go ahead and schedule the c-section. My last day of work was last week so I had my first two days of freedom. Well, freedom to run errands without Camden. I did get to go to lunch with Mike on my first day off and rested some yesterday. My glucose test came back fine but I am anemic (which I have been my whole life). I started taking iron pills a couple of weeks ago and I think they're finally starting to work. I'm not as exhausted as I was but still tired. My belly is getting bigger and starting to get in the way. Luckily I have a great husband who takes care of Camden for me at night. He has been doing the bath and bedtime routine for a while now. I still do it when he is working at night but it's just easier for him to do it.

29 week belly (the Easter pics and family pic in front of the airplane are more recent at 31 weeks)

I had two baby showers for this baby! One was thrown by a friend of mine and it was wonderful. It was low-key and a lot of fun. I got so much cute stuff! Then my co-workers threw me a surprise baby shower. I thought it was a staff meeting and I was wondering why I had to be there since I was leaving in a couple of days. Plus it was at noon, which is almost naptime, so I knew Camden wasn't going to behave himself. But when I walked in I realized it was a baby shower! It was really sweet of them to do that for me. So I got even more things for the baby, including a personalized onesie, bib, and blanket that everyone chipped in for.
