5, 3, and 2 months

It's birthday season here in the Stewart house! Hudson turned three on May 27, Camden turned FIVE on June 2, and Rowan also had a mini birthday on June 2; he turned two months. I was really excited about Camden and Hudson's birthdays this year for some reason. I guess because they are getting older and each have their own personalities and they were both excited this year too. I had fun shopping for them and planning their party. We still did a combined party but also separately celebrated on their actual birthdays. We also let each of them choose what/where they wanted to eat that night. Hudson chose pizza so we went to a yummy NY pizza restaurant and then had cake at the house. Camden chose Red Robin and requested cookie cake. For their birthday party we had a backyard BBQ. The kids all swam, played on the slip n slide, shot water guns, threw water balloons, and played in the new sandbox (one of Mike's many projects around the house). This was the first year I didn't try to go all out with a theme and it was so much easier! The party was an Avengers theme and I just bought some plates and a table cloth and that was the extent of the theme! The boys had a great time. There were a couple San Antonio friends and some really good Corpus friends made the drive up to party with us!

Once the partying was over it was time to get down to business and take all three kids for their check ups. Rowan's 2 month was on Monday. The doctor said he looks great. He weighs 13 lbs 15 oz and is 24 inches long. He had to have 3 shots and one oral vaccine. He was fussy and sleepy for about a day. I felt so bad for him :( I took the older boys to the doctor Wednesday. Camden weighs 41 lbs and passed his vision and hearing tests with flying colors. Hudson weighs 32 lbs and had to get one shot but he took it like a champ. I can't remember their heights but based on their percentiles Camden will be a basketball player body type and Hudson will be a football player, but we already knew that. ;)

 Birthday Party!

Hudson's real birthday

Camden sporting the SpiderMan toys he got!  He loves being a superhero.

Stubborn Hudson refusing to get up on stage with his class at the school performance. ;)

I was so proud of Camden at his preschool performance/graduation.  For anyone who really knows him, getting up on stage and singing is a HUGE step.  He's gotten better every year but this year I realized how much he's grown and changed from that shy little 2 year old who cried when we walked into a room of unfamiliar people.  It brought tears to my eyes.

 He graduated from preschool!

Six Weeks Ago...

...Rowan was born! I'm sure everyone knows that by now.  I can't believe he is six weeks old already.  That still sounds so little but I feel like he was just born.  I'm glad that it has been six weeks because that means my recovery time from my c-section is offically over (meaning I can lift and start exercising again...not that I completely followed those rules).  It also means that Rowan is adjusting better to life.  He is less fussy than he was at first and is starting to interact a little with us and his brothers.  He likes looking around and is happy doing that for a little while. He is starting to smile some and also cooing a little bit.  He still sleeps a lot of the day but his awake periods are getting longer. He is doing really well at night and is usually ready for bed by 9-10pm.  Then he sleeps for 5-6 hours most nights.  I'm glad he is a good sleeper because I can't function on the nights he wakes up more often.  I know what my friends of three kids were talking about when they say that three is a lot busier.  It's so different adding a third baby to the mix.  There isn't much time to just sit and enjoy the baby!  We have slowed down our pace a lot but we are still on the go a lot.  Camden and Hudson are in preschool two days a week, we go to MOPS once a month and some playdates in between, and I'm thinking about joining another mom's group but I may hold off for now.  I guess I'm not used to not being busy. :)

Rowan is doing really well and is growing fast.  He was 8 lbs 10 oz when he was born, only lost a few ounces in the hospital, and surpassed his birth weight before he was one week old.  The last time we went to the doctor about 2 weeks ago he was 10 lbs 13 oz.  He likes to eat every 2 hours during the day and is a very efficient eater!  He's getting some cute baby rolls. He does have some reflux but it definitely isn't causing an issue with his weigh gain!

Camden and Hudson love their baby brother.  They both love to look at him, hold him, and talk to him.  Camden is especially good with him.  He's like a little parent and has even become that way with Hudson.  It's cute.

Now here's the good part...pictures!

Moving On

Way back in the summer (July? September? Now my months are running together) Mike put in for a transfer at work to move to San Antonio.  We, especially Mike, were tired of Corpus and nothing else was panning out and we wanted to leave.  We also wanted to be closer to my mom.  We NEVER thought he would get approved for the transfer but we found out sometime in October that he was approved for a voluntary move to San Antonio!  So we put our house on the market and started packing up to move.  We got an offer on our house in Corpus in December and started looking at houses in San Antonio right before Christmas.  We ended up putting an offer on a house in a neighborhood we love and we went under contract a few days after Christmas.  We closed on Febrary 8 and moved in that weekend!  We actually moved to San Antonio at the beginning of January and stayed with my mom for 5 weeks while we were waiting to close.  The whole time was stressful, but exciting, and I'm glad it's over.  We are so thankful for all the people who helped us move out of our old house and into our new house.  Since we moved ourselves luckily we knew people who were able and willing to help on both ends.  Almost immediately after we moved into our new house we started working on it.  There was a mad dash to unpack and start doing work that was needed because by this point I was feeling the pressure that a baby was coming in a couple of months!  Mike started painting basically every room in the house and we had laminate put down in the dining room, living room, and our bedroom.  We then realized how gross the carpet was so we ended up replacing all the carpet in the house.  So now the downstairs has no carpet and the upstairs is nice, new, clean carpet.  Just the flooring took the first couple of weeks when all was said and done.  So after unpacking I started nesting and really needed to start washing baby clothes and getting his room set up.  That was fun for me but as I progressed in pregnancy I got more and more tired. Fast forward to now about 6 weeks later...Mike is just about done painting, we still have some boxes but nothing too important, the boys' room is done minus a couple pictures, the baby's room is almost done, and I'm attempting to relax as much as possible.  It's easier said that done!

The boys both started at a new preschool.  They go on Monday and Wednesday and both really like it.  It gives them a good social outlet because we don't know anyone here and don't have friends like they did in Corpus.  I also joined MOPS and we go to meetings once a month where the boys have a class and I go do "mom stuff."  We also try to go to playdates through the group.  Even though we're not as socially busy as were were before we moved, they have kept themselves entertained very well and have been so good through the whole moving/working on the house process.  They have an enormous playroom upstairs that they spend most of their time in.  They were happy to see all their toys after coming out of storage.

So now Baby Stewart is coming in 1 1/2 weeks! My due date is April 7, but my c-section is scheduled for April 2 at 8:00am. We are all very excited and ready to meet him. Every time I go to the doctor one of the kids asks me if I am going to have the baby. I'm feeling pretty good, but have my uncomfortable days and moments. I can tell when I've done too much so the past few days I've been allowing myself to rest more and not feel guilty about it.

It's innate...they are all about shooting bad guys.  This is Camden shooting bad guys with his golf club.  Except its not a golf club, its a gun.

Baby Stewart at 20 weeks!

Taking up lots of space in my tummy at 37 weeks.  I'm carrying so low and just out there this time instead of round all over like I have in the past.
