Where Does the Time Go?

We have been keeping very busy lately; sometimes I don't know where the time has gone! I used to think about all these things that were happening at the end of May and I'd think "Wow, that is so close to when the baby is born!" Now it's here and I can't believe it. Mike's parents will arrive this Wednesday afternoon to take care of Camden for us while we're in the hospital. We go to the hospital at 5:30am on Thursday for a 7:30am c-section. We should meet our little baby by about 8:00 that morning! I'm a little nervous, but I can't wait! My mom will arrive that afternoon and also stay for the weekend to help out. It's really weird knowing exactly when my baby will make his way into the world. Well, assuming he doesn't come early. :) Two weeks ago I measured big, about a week ahead but last week I measured exactly where I should have. I'm not dilated at all (as of last Tuesday). My doctor estimated that the baby was 7-7 1/2 lbs at my last appointment. I had false labor contractions all night Saturday night but have been fine since. So we'll see!

In between getting the house ready for a new baby, we have been busy with Camden. He keeps us on our toes. He's constantly either moving or talking so there is never a dull moment. Recently, we had an early birthday party for him. He won't be 2 until June 2nd but I knew I wouldn't be planning a party after giving birth. We had a few of his little friends at the park to play and have cake. The kids all had a lot of fun!

Friday night we had Camden's first school program. They got on stage and "sang" two songs. He did really great, just looked confused by all the people, until he spotted Mike taking pictures of him. Then he started to cry because he wanted Daddy. He has eagle eyes! His teachers calmed him down though and he did really well considering.

We decided to get Camden's hair cut again. It's so hot out already and his hair grows so quickly. We cut it pretty short for him but he looks really cute! It has already grown longer than this in only about 2 weeks! We think he looks just like Mike's toddler pictures in this one.

Funny Kid

Camden is really growing up and developing a sense of humor. He thinks anything his dad does is funny and then repeats it and cracks up. It's hard to capture the humor in these stories without being there, but I'll try. :)

Daddy: "Are you poopy?" (before a diaper change).
Camden: "No" (then lets out a loud toot)
Camden: "YES!"

Camden has some goofy walks, one is bent over with his hands out behind him. Mike teases him by doing it too. Camden has attached the word monkey to this, who knows why! So now he walks around in his pose saying "monkey!" "Daddy!" then cracks up.

He hates when things are messy or dirty, especially his feet. He gets dirt in his sandals at the park and I've told him that it's okay, it's just dirt, and we'll clean it after we're done playing. Now if he gets something on his feet he looks at them and says, "just dirt."

He says "ba, da!" when he is mad at us or doesn't like something we tell him. We think he's cursing at us in baby language.

Camden's been walking around the past week saying "cockadoo". I finally realized that he's saying "cock-a-doodle-do!" because they are learning about animals in school.

He loves music. We were listening to Bob Marley and I told him who it was. He'll ask for it by name "Bob Marley Song". One day he said "Bob Marley," thought about it for a minute and said, "Bob Cooper" (Cooper and Marley are our dogs.) We thought it was pretty smart to figure that one out!

If I say "Camden is a piggy!" or "Camden has stinky feet!" or some other comment like that he goes through everyone in the family and says they are a piggy or they have stinky feet. He thinks it's hilarious.

Everytime we pass a gas station he asks to stop for gas.

I was lying on the couch resting last night and Mike came over and pretended to put electric shock panels on me and said "Clear!" Camden thought that was sooo funny so he came up, put his hands on me and started cracking up.

Mike kicked the air and made a noise like "phsh". Now Camden randomly walks around kicking the air and saying "phsh".

Everytime we are going to school or the church nursery I try to prepare him by asking what he is going to play with. It's a car everytime. When I ask him what he did in school it's the same answer.

I think that is all for now! I'm sure they are funnier if you witnessed it. I don't have any new pictures but I'll try to take some soon and post them.
