Water Fun

Camden got a water table for his birthday from Grammy and Pops. He loves splashing and playing in the water! These pictures are from the first time he played with it.

Camden's Baptism

We had Camden baptized on Sunday. We decided to have it done the same weekend all of our family was already in town so they could be a part of the ceremony. Camden did not sleep enough the day of his birthday party or that night and he was teething, so he didn't feel that great. He was very cuddly and clinging to me. He already fusses when someone else holds him and Mike and I are right there but I knew he would cause a scene since he didn't feel well. As soon as the pastor took him he started to cry. He came back to me pretty quickly but still wouldn't calm down. We were up in front of the whole church and all I could think was "please stop crying." He was just very upset by the fact that this strange man held him for 2 minutes and poured water over his head! Even though he cried the whole time it was still very special. Camden passed out and slept for the rest of the service. He is so sweet. Afterward we had the family over to our house for coffee before they all left to drive home. My friend Tammy and her husband and daughter even came in town for the occasion!

Camden started crying and reaching for me as soon as I handed him to the pastor.

This didn't help the crying...

Still crying. Even after Mommy is holding him.

Finally relaxed. I was hoping to get through the ceremony without the paci, but it just didn't happen. He doesn't use it much throughout the day, mainly for sleeping.

Mike loves being a dad and is always so happy when he's with Camden.

Kimberlee (Tammy's daughter) and Camden. They were both tired and didn't want to look at the camera. We were lucky to see them again - twice in 2 weeks! We went to Pete's 30th birthday party two weeks ago. Normally we see each other once
every 6 months or so. I wish we could see them more.

Camden is One!

Camden turns one tomorrow! I can't believe how quickly the time goes. We had a party for him on Saturday at our house. Family came in town and a few of our new friends came. Poor baby was exhausted but he had fun - we all did. I wish he had had more time to play with his little friends but he was busy with all the presents and cake eating! Here are some pictures from the day.

He loved opening presents for a little while, but got bored so I ended up opening the rest while trying to get him interested. He just wanted to play with each new toy instead of opening the next one. I guess that's all I can expect from a one year old. :)

Singing "Happy Birthday"

I don't really know what's going on here. I guess Camden is excited and I think my mom is kissing his arm? Not really sure...

I don't think we got any family pictures so just imagine these two are combined!

My sweet boy loves to laugh

Let's Eat Cake!!!

Not happy about being back in his highchair. He got quiet as soon as I put the piece of cake on his tray.

He loved the cake! I'm surprised at how quickly he dug into it. I thought he'd be more hesitant. I gave him a huge piece so he'd have more to mush around in and I ended up having to take a big chunk away! He would have eaten the entire thing if I had let him!

This picture speaks for itself. :)
